Shaofeng Liu is Professor of Operations Management and Decision Making at University of Plymouth, UK. She obtained her PhD degree from Loughborough University, UK and worked for Bath and Strathclyde Universities before joining Plymouth.

Her main research interests and expertise are in social-economic dimensions of business, knowledge management, decision analysis, and emerging digital technology applications for supply chain management, resource efficiency, process improvement, quality management and value chain innovation.

She has undertaken a great number of influential, collaborative research projects funded by UK research councils and European Commission with a total value of over €40M. Currently (Feb 2022), she is the Principal Investigator for two UK funded projects and three projects funded by European Commission.

She has published over 190 peer-reviewed research papers and two books. She sits on the Management Board for Euro Working Group on Decision Support Systems, an international professional society dedicated to decision making and decision support systems.

She has supervised over 20 PhD students and research assistants/fellows. For more details, please refer to her professional website.
